Re: PS1 Booting problem

I don't see why the laser would just stop working though, I'd understand if it had been worn out but I've treated this one really nicely and it's been in a box for the past year. I'm thinking it's the scart cable or the spindle is still sticky, preventing it from getting up to speed. Any tips on lub...

PS1 Booting problem

It's a bit of a long shot but I thought I'd try you guys before venturing into a scary PS forum. Summary: My PS1 won't boot. At all. So I got my old ps1 out (it's the 'ickle one, model no. SCPH-102) for the first time in over a year (worked perfectly fine when I put it away) and tried to play a game...

You could just run the current through a thin wire with a suitably high resistance, it'll get rather hot.

Re: Improv Weapons

Match heads inside a nut between two loosely screwed in bolts, throw a handful into a crowd and they explode firing bolts into anyone unlucky enough to be in the way. just a match head? A whole bunch of them, get as much of the wood off as possible. And they can't be safety matches or they won't ig...

Re: what would you choose as your super power?

Ability to convert your density by converting mass to energy and back again with your strength and durability scaling suitably. Super dense guy takes a running jump, reduces density dramatically and shoots forwards at high speed due to conservation of momentum and then changes back to a high density...

Re: Improv Weapons

I've also had people attack me with aerosol cans and lighters and it did nothing, didn't even feel that hot. On top of that the flame goes out so easily you can just put it out with your hand. Laser Pointers - Resistors = a useful item for impairing vision. Match heads inside a nut between two loose...

Granted, you may travel where ever you desire in summer, but may never move from the spot you are standing when summer ends until the next begins.

I wish my furnishings were yummy and edible.

Re: Dungeons and Dragons (and other tabletop RPGs)

I've given up on a physical group, it doesn't seem overly popular in my area.

What I'm really looking for is somewhere I can find a group willing to welcome me into a game and help me learn to play on a virtual tabletop, preferably an application (I find role playing via forum rather tedious).

Re: Dungeons and Dragons (and other tabletop RPGs)

Afternoon all! Sorry to divert the thread in a slightly different direction but I've always been interested in D&D and never had the chance to actually play (due to not being able to find anyone who plays it or is even willing to try it). I was wondering if there is any good way of finding a gro...

Re: ITT:We discuss Duct Tape

I think we should all pool our various duct tape related designs and make a database on how to make stuff with duct tape.

I've made a sheaf for a knife, a lamp shade and it's the only reason my battered phone still works. :D

Re: Do you read the instruction booklet?

I love a well made instruction booklet, has anyone played "Arcanum of steamworks and magick obscura"?
I enjoyed the instruction booklet more than the game itself! :D

Re: INTRO THREAD THE THIRD

Hey-up. I'm Louis, I'm 18 years old, English and I enjoy moving rhythmically to the sound of drum and bass. I've been reading xkcd on and off for a while now, maybe a year or so? I'm not sure. I'm bad at keeping track of things. Popinjay is a word I find amusing which hasn't been registered in most ...

I'm not familiar with any of the music you listed so I don't know if you like electronic music but pretty much all drum & bass features crescendos. :D
