Re: Deciphering a secret message... maybe.

Thanks. That's what I managed to come up with too.

Deciphering a secret message... maybe.

I have reason to believe that the dots and dashes near the bottom of this image contain a coded message. They might not. I couldn't make sense of it with Morse code but maybe I was putting the spaces in the wrong places. Also I'm not sure what to do with the vertical dots. I was hoping that some cry...

Re: 2 puppies

So, following the logic of conditional probability, which i still can't grasp intuitively, the puppy situation should be similar to this... Let's say I have two pennies. "I have two pennies." Now, I take one of those pennies and place it H eads up on the table behind a large opaque screen ...

Re: "Skins" Discussion

This one messed with my head enough to comment on. I can understand the concept of furries. (Or at least I have an understanding that I am comfortable with.) The idea of someone pretending to be an animal that's pretending to be a person just messes with my head a bit. It's not enough to just preten...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts (now with 20% more fungus!)

Why are you Mr MessyPetTalk backwards? Well, actually I'm Mr. Mxyzptlk backwards. (It seems that Mzyxptlk and I differ on the spelling of his name but I got it straight from the comic book so I am confident in my spelling.) Mr. Mxyzptlk is a "villain" in the Superman comics and throughout...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts (now with 20% more fungus!)

How much wood could a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck had a chainsaw? I once asked God this question. God told me that woodchucks are among his favorite creations but there is a good reason that they don't have thumbs. I believe that this question should still be up for debate. Though, something told...

My sig is the Addams' Family motto. The translation is "We gladly feast on those who would subdue us."
(Not just pretty words.)

Re: Southeast Michigan/Detroit Area

I know that area pretty well. My work has me driving around all day every day throughout the eastern part of Oakland county. I'm usually near I-75/M-59 once a week. Though I'm always at work when I'm there so that specific situation is no good for meeting or hijinks.

Re: Southeast Michigan/Detroit Area

I live in the Royal Oak area. Near 12 mile and Woodward. Lived in SE Michigan my whole life.
I don't do crazy things nearly often enough. If something comes up I could probably be persuaded to join.
what sort of crazy hijinks do these forums engage in?

Re: Favorite home experiments

I didn't know how to get it out. Now I have to go try that experiment again, and the follow up! I haven't looked through the whole thread, but has anybody posted any crystal growing experiments? Supersaturate water with salt or sugar by boiling water and stirring in either until they stop dissolving...

Re: Favorite home experiments

I call this one, "Egg in a bottle." The materials you'll need are as follows a hard boiled egg a glass bottle (The mouth of the bottle needs to be a smaller diameter than the egg. Most are, so this shouldn't be hard to find.) a source of fire (matches, lighter, stovetop, etc.) a piece of p...

Re: Corrupt-a-wish

I wish I could manipulate time at will.

Granted: You gain the ability to manipulate time. With this ability, unfortunately, comes a complete understanding of the true nature of time and space which drives you completely insane.

I wish I was an Oscar Meyer wiener.
