Re: the poisoned wine

I think that everyone here is in the wrong direction Easy: 1 person, just let him drink them one by one until he dies Hard: 3 people, for each wine, let all three drink until someone dies. if two people or more die, it's toxic. If only one die, he's the theif and then proceed as in easy part...

Re: What-If 0071: "Stirring Tea"

I believe everyone missed something. If stirring causes a vaccum cavity, I think it would lead to the case of a glass half empty http://what-if.xkcd.com/6/ . The force of air pressure pushing tea onto the cup would definitely cause at least some heat, (possibly repeating over and over) assuming it ...

Re: The enigma of @YOUGAKUDAN_00

Anyone knows what yougakudan (the username) means? I think it might be an important clue about how to decrypt this, but I don't know japanese.
BTW anyone interested in decoding http://www.twitter.com/mrrl_? There are some strange decimal numbers there.

Re: Crypto challenge

Cauchy, your answer is right! Congrats! I didn't expect it to be solved this quick!
I somehow got an extra word in the end of the code, making the answer an incomplete sentence. I'm deleting the extra word.
BTW you are supposed to put the answer in a spoiler tag

Crypto challenge

I'm giving an encrypted text as a string of seemingly random digits. Can anyone decrypt it? 73519-825359-98423-7862147 82-974631 7982-714693-9746413 71254-9746413-974631-7982 7158539-9746413-71254-98423-4862-1752593-82-98423 If nobody solves it I will post some hints :D EDIT: corrected mistake by de...

Re: The enigma of @YOUGAKUDAN_00

I tried randomly clicking on someone who retweeted @YOUGAKUDAN_00 and found that another user is also tweeting some cryptic messages, this time in decimal at @mrrl_
Anyone wanna decrypt that?

Binary decoding

There is a twitter account: twitter*dot*com/YOUGAKUDAN_00 that keeps tweeting binary messages, and I'm unable to decode it! It's mentioned in what-if*dot*xkcd*dot*om/65/ as a ridiculously active account. Note: each message is 124 letters long, which foils many decoding attempts Note 2: I've clicked ...
