Re: 1227: "The Pace of Modern Life"

To be fair, none of us were there so we cannot provide fully informed comments. However I will state what I think is likely. In the time period covered in the panels, there was a general attitude toward work that people were to be treated as machines. Time spent doing an activity was supposed to mak...

FFS Cueball, do something! It's not like you're stuck in a desert for eternity, where sand and rocks stretch to infinity... or something.

Re: 1190: "Time"

Oh crap, I just noticed, that c-a-n/tin thing is screwing with my sig! It must be new; I'd have noticed it before, I'm fairly certain. Part of this Madness, perhaps? Yes, someone must have turned that on some time in the past 20 or so newpix. I wish they'd turned it off, it's annoying and not very ...

That pillar in the middle looks pretty unstable... Calling it. The whole thing looks pretty unstable. Considering how clumsy he is, I think the arches were a bad move. Methinks he should have made the arches a little smaller. Everything else has held up surprisingly well considering it's just sand ...

Nobody's bothered to mention how dark it must be in that box? Changing torch batteries would soon become a very interesting hobby. Not to mention becoming a connoisseur of the food somehow provided, and of the varied and interesting smells resulting from living in that box. With those activities to ...

Re: "Dilution" Discussion

These past two three comics have been cynical. I really dislike jabs at people, cultures or systems of belief - no matter how justified - especially when they're cheap. They provoke rather than stimulate discussion.

Re: "Workaround" discussion

For some reason the old CRT monitor really sticks out in this comic. It symbolises the attitude of the person who thinks "it works, so leave it". The wires behind the desk also seem to add to the effect, weirdly.

Yes, I too can definitely relate to this one. When walking along a reservoir dam, I imagine myself letting go of my phone and dropping it over the side, staring at it as for a few seconds it falls away from me, then collides spectacularly with the concrete wall - I'm constantly a split second away f...

Here's another idea: Yes we are all sheep, yet our awareness of this fact does not make it any less so. To continue to exist in this world, you must eat the same food as everyone else (someone above this post said something similar). To pay for this food you usually need to work for society in some ...
