Re: The 4th ammendment has been destroyed.

Giving police officers the right to determine what is, and isn't probable cause is an egregiously bad decision, because police officers are notoriously bad at that. I don't think, strictly speaking, they do have that right. You're right. To clarify: giving police officers the power to act and what ...

Re: The 4th ammendment has been destroyed.

Really now? I was under the impression the police were designated to keep order. If you aren't doing something wrong, you likely won't run into problems with the police. I don't break the law or intentionally twerk my nose at them, so I never have anything but good interactions with them. ^This is ...

Re: What is enlightenment?

Enlightenment is seeing the moon, and the moon sees you, and being entirely aware of your position relative to the moon, and its position relative to you. Enlightenment is more of a spiritual awakening than anything else. It is finding your place in the universe, and being wholly aware of oneself. T...

Re: Relationships and Unplanned Parenthood

Women are worse off, so we try and make things better for them. Men are now worse off, and we try and make things better for them. It isn't about balance, but about making everyone's life better in the end. It's just that you usually begin with the one that's worse off. It isn't circular at all. Bu...

Re: Second Amendment Questions

The supreme court stated that the militia clause was secondary to the keep and bear arms clause, as stated above. The people have the right to arms, and the state has a right to its own militia. I think that the legal, historical and grammatical precedent for the 2nd amendment to mean private citize...

Re: Is pornography only for people over 18?

Using myself as an example, I started watching porn when I was twelve. I didn't start masturbating until I was fourteen. My parents never actually had the sex talk with me. Being one of six kids, they just assumed they'd had it, and forgotten about the matter entirely. The reason I knew things going...

Re: The perfect world- can a democratic and fair world exist

For such a thing to exist, you need a single ruling body. Preferably an individual, with the power to rule with an iron fist in a velvet glove. Second, that ruling body or individual must be beyond corruption. This means you need a sociopath, or someone similarly unfeeling. Third, and this is the to...

There is a whole host of wrong reasons to reproduce, traditionally or through cloning. We don't judge the former, so why should we judge the latter?
