### Re: 0816: "Applied Math"

On a slightly separate note though, Is it possible to have a system that has a sufficiently consistent inconsistency such that the inconsistency doesn't affect the majority of "consistent" calculations, hence bypassing most issues regarding consistency?

### Re: 0816: "Applied Math"

Instead of using the term invalid, just use the term inconsistent. Invalid can be mistaken to imply that it is always incorrect. Inconsistent is a more consistent term. The whole point is proving that conventional logic is inconsistent by forming a paradox; a situation where it can neither be proven...

Just an alternate POV:

If we assume the value of gold to be inherent and the value of currency to be flexible, wouldn't a "gold inflation" also be equivalent to a currency deflation?

### Re: That's what a bubble means

In the end money itself is the ultimate bubble, and gold only a reflection of that. It is useful to have at least one exchange and hoarding medium. Such a medium, whatever it is, doesn't need any reason to be valuable outside the expectation that others in the future will consider it valuable too. ...

Second, the big established economies cheat too. See for example corn sub...
