The Sword of Shannara. I realized that it was essentially Lord of the Rings: Redux. It wasn't poorly written...just contrived.

I have the book sitting on my shelf, currently. I want to get Wheel of Time out of the way before I tackle it, though. I don't think I could juggle two massive stories at the same time, and not feel like it's a force of labor. I'll probably get to it during Christmas break :D

Hey, first post on here :)

I'm currently about half-way through A Game of Thrones. It's quite a bit different from the Wheel of Time series which I've been reading recently, but I'm liking it tremendously. I'm looking forward to the next installments, hopefully they're just as riveting.
