My graph-related OCD is going nuts... the graph rotation is off by ninety degrees. Time is the dependent variable gosh darn it! I won't mention that panini is the plural, then. *twitch* This phenomenon seems to run counter to shrinkflation, which affects goods sold in shops, as opposed to restauran...

I've been getting the error, it might be because my bookmark happened to be xckd.com rather than xkcd.com. I'll know tomorrow if that was the issue.

it's not a "most valuable member" badge or anything. I believe the badge comes with a significant upgrade to the features of the account, such as additional filters and spam-handling tools. Stuff like that. Most importantly, it bumps up the visibility of the person's tweets through things...

I disagree: It pretty much undoes the Acadian expulsion and has the Cajuns return to where the British kicked them out of, so I'd put that in the win column.

Mary Celeste: Not mysterious at all, she was carrying mineral spirits and when she was found some of the barrels had clearly been leaking. The day she was abandoned was rather hot and the crew clearly feared an explosion. Note the absence of the ship's boat and the snapped line trailing in the water...
