Re: Should I bother fixing my phone, and if not - what do I replace it with?

I already asked about the "repair" option in a different thread, so I'm going to use this for phone buying advice if you don't mind. I'm not much of a power user (my current phone is from 2013) and I generally like it (unlike some of the trends in smarphones lately), so basically I'd want ...

But then how does such a setup negotiate small radii? It doesn't. Most roads from the interstate to the RV Park allow for wide turns. You Americans and your incredibly spacious infrastructure... I don't know the exact physics of it, but my understanding is that the wheels follow the path of least r...

Re: Thoughts for ships

Wheels are allowed to turn freely. Nothing special needs to be done. But then how does such a setup negotiate small radii? Do the front wheels turn to follow the RV due to something (maybe the caster angle?) or do they just have a large side-slip in tight corners like the wheels of a semi-trailer ?...

About five minutes ago I watched a dashcam video of an RV rolling over due to a tyre blowout and learned that it's somehow possible to tow a car behind an RV like this: https://winnebagolife.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/IMG_3314.JPG.jpg The only question none of the articles titled "Three way...

Timezone idea: use UTC everywhere, since wide timezones like CET and that daylight saving nonsense means clock time isn't related to sunlight hours anyway.

Planned obsolescence is pretty much the only reason they stop supporting old phones. Maybe I should become ruler of the world only to outlaw this nonsense. Personally, I've been running LineageOS 14.1 (Android 7.1) on my HTC One m7 for a good while now, and it's a nice, clean OS. It's available for...

I'm going to France in a couple weeks, and since I like learning languages, I was wondering what the best way is to pick up some basic French. Are there online resources for this? Should I get a French textbook? Or one of those "Learn French" cassettes?

Updating an old smartphone with a custom Android ROM?

I've been using my Samsung GT-I8730 for four years now, and I've been mostly satisfied with the experience.
