CoreWars: Battle of the programmers

Okay, brace yourself for a lengthy background story: In the 1960's and 70's, computers were much too expensive for a normal person to have one all to themselves. Before the invention of the Personal Computer (PC), computer systems were mainly employed in large universities, able to be used by studen...

Re: Epic coding moments

While I was a youngin' learning some BASIC dialect, I had started to try and write an RPG in it and eventually got frustrated by how slow it was when it worked and how mind-broiling it was when it didn't. About a year ago, I was looking through the program files on my old computer and I noticed the ...

I think topsy turvy is a better answer than the original one, as "Hocus Pocus" Don't really have a meaning (that is, convey a certain concept.) I could be wrong, though.

This one makes me groan, but deep down I love it to no end (plus it's the only one I know). A girl goes on one of those "win a date" game shows. Later finds out the man she gets is a complete dick. lLater, her mathematician friend tells her "You must be a fan of the Binary system.&quo...

For me it's too simple. There are a dozen or so systems like this with just a backbone, but no legs to run with and no meat to make it attractive. Ok, that analogy got gross fast. But anyway, if your going to play this you might as well go all the way and just have the PC's describe their character...
