Re: 1099: "Tuesdays"

Seeing this guy sprouting his wings, did anyone else think of one of those crazy Dragonball Z power-ups? I imagined this whole comic actually taking twenty minutes, and by the end of it he has glowing yellow hair, but you can't see it because it's all concealed under the beret.

Re: Spacky Woonerisms

"Set up the tard cable." As in, "Find a table we can play cards on." I don't know what a tard cable would be, but it sounds mildly insulting.

Hello. I'm Malt. Milkshake or liquor, whichever you prefer. I'm a sophomore in college, CS/ling major. I'm awful at talking about myself. So I'll just leave this here. Howdy, y'all.

Re: 1089:"Internal Monologue"

I'm pretty sure social anxiety is the feeling that everyone secretly hates you and is only hanging out with you out of some kind of obligation. But in all seriousness, the people I know who have like REAL social anxiety, don't want to hang out with their friends and people they trust when they're f...

Re: I'd like to know the name of this book/short story/comic

Okay, there's no category specifically for essays or satirical pieces, but I figured this would be the appropriate place to post it. I read this work of satire last year that I cannot remember for the life of me. It was some sort of rant on the horrible drivers of the Miami area, and was originally ...

Adblocker

Does anyone have a good adblocker they'd care to recommend to me? I've recently become so fed up with the constant ads bouncing around my screen, I've been imagining lighting them on fire.

I use a Windows Vista with the latest version of Firefox.

I'm, uh...still figuring that one out. I've still got like, two whole weeks to decide, though! :D It's between SUNY Stony Brook and SUNY Binghamton, majoring in FuckIfIKnowology.

I'd probably behead them.

What might you do if some one on this forum answered your question and then asked the same exact question immediately afterwards?

Re: Reading test for 6 year olds to include non-words

"The test is trying to control all the different variables so that things like meaning don't get in the way. Did anyone else catch that? It seems ridiculous - isn't the purpose of a written language, after all, to convey meaning? What are they teaching kids by doing this - that if they see a w...

Re: What themes dominate the bulk of your dreams?

Now that I think about it, my most common theme is of me chasing something. It varies from dream to dream, but it's usually 'Hey! That guy just did something bad! Get him!' And I start to do so, and I find that I'm suddenly running incredibly slowly, and whatever I'm chasing is outrunning me. It's l...

Re: Awesome Teacher Quotes

The best quotes I have are probably from my chemistry teacher. Teacher: [sees students staring at a ladder in the front of the room] Oh my god guys, it's a ladder. Have you never seen one before? I know, let's analyze the properties of the ladder. Well, let's see...It's big, it's yellow...it's a met...
