Re: 1202: "Girls and Boys"

Side note: I haven't posted here since my freshman year of high school. Strange. Q2: Is there a US accent in which "Jupiter" rhymes perfectly with "stupider"? By this I mean that the first vowel of "stupider" is the diphthong /juː/ of BrE (i.e. it's not "stoopid&qu...

Re: "1996" Discussion

I had several hours of free time every day in junior high due to scheduling conflicts, and I coded so much stuff for the TI-83+. By getting a serial adapter, I added things like wireless linking, device to device USB, and all sorts of stuff. I even could code assembly on the 83! Good times.

Re: Senate Vote in Massachusetts a "Toss-Up."

I'm sure the Massachusetts legislature will just change their election laws until a Democrat wins. Hey, maybe that's why the voters are turning on the...

Re: Depressing SAT scores

I love standardized tests. I participated in an early program, and I took the ACT in the seventh grade (age 11). I got a 29, and I really think that it was not so much a manner of intelligence as a manner of attention. Try and really work your way through a test; promise yourself a new iPod or a ste...

Re: The ideal number.

60. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 15, 20, and 30 are factors, making it a highly composite number. 60Hz is a frequency that can interfere with the human heart. Most LCD monitors and older TVs run at 60Hz. The first fullerene molecule discovered had 60 carbon atoms per molecule. 60 is the sum of twin primes ...
