^I hate when this happens. I searched and the only thing I immediately saw was a gazillion of the same posts referring to omegle (not about it) in the Random/fleeting thoughts sections.

What do I do now?

Re: Geometric Series problem, finding A1 and An

1022 = A1 - A129/1-2
1022/-1=a1 - 512A1
divide by -512, I get
1.996 = A1+A1

I haven't been able to solve for A1, either. I came up with 1.996= a1 - a1, which is obviously wrong.

Geometric Series problem, finding A1 and An

I've tried this and I still don't get it.

The problem is: Given Sn = 1022, r=2, and n=9, find a1 and an.

There are two formulas I can use: Sn = a1 - a1rn/1-r

OR

Sn= a1 - ran/1-r.

I keep coming up with: 1022 = a1-ran/1-2

I can't get any further. Advice?

As true as all this is, judicial review does not require that laws be perfectly logical. The defense does not argue that there is no discrimination. Instead, they argue that this discrimination is rationally related to a legitimate state interest (namely, promoting and protecting procreation). While the 14th Amendment promises equal protection of the laws, it has been particularly asso...

Jahoclove brings up a good point, though. Can marriage be considered something private? Because if it can be, Roe v. Wade would apply, if rather slightly a bit of a stretch. One could make the argument that marriage isn't private because of its' relationship to the government, but in that same sense...
