She actually may have been closer to the truth than she thought in the last panel. The highest paid member of John Phillip Sousa's band was the bass drummer.

DM Questions

I thought it would be a good idea for there to be a thread for inexperienced DMs to ask more experienced DMs. I'm starting up a campaign with my friends and am DMing for them but there are tons of things that I know should be changed, edited, left out, or added into the game that I'm just not aware ...

My mom, an avid gardener, managed to get a six-inch saw blade on the plane in her purse. She had taken it off of the handle to buy a new one and replace it, but never actually made it to the hardware store, so it just glided with us all the way to Boston from San Fran.

"Butterflies and Hurricanes" was exactly the song I was talking about with all the stuff they were doing. And yes, it is by far my favorite song from that band, closely followed by "Hysteria," which is less out of the box but just as awesome.

I've played for a while. I learned most of Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue for solo piano, except for exactly a page and a half that was just too hard(it was in freaking C# major and it was Gershwin, so altered notes up the wazoo), and the Moonlight Sonata, right now I'm starting on a Rachmaninoff prelu...

Re: Why should I like Muse and Radiohead?

Muse and Radiohead are really completely different bands, and so you don't necessarily have to like one and not the other. Muse basically combines rock, metal, classical, and electronic music to make (as far as I'm concerned) something that's totally new and amazing. They'll use a bass line that, as...
