It's attributed, it doesn't matter. It's unlikely the estate would much care about potential royalties either.

Shrimp and salad. Shrimp not available. Served cheeseburger, french fries and cola. That definitely sounds German to me. Though the excess that is meat stuffed with other meats does have a distinctly American flair, so possibly some combination there. I definitely have to go with Alton Brown: the generalized methods he presents have done me far more good than any recipe I've ever read. In fact, the only reason I read recipes anymore (excluding baking of course, they're important then) is to get some ideas on new flavor/ingredient combinations.

My parents luckily did rethink their initial plan to name me "Dor" (they might have spelled it differently, the point is it sounds like "door"). They considered this because one had a grandfather named Theodore, and the had one named Isadore(not sure that was how it was spelled.....
