Re: 1258: First

Blah ... are you named after an Australian wine that I found on a menu when I was on holiday not four days ago and decided to take a picture of it on my phone because I found it hilarious? Woolloomooloo (subtly different spelling?) is also the name of an area in Sydney: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki...

Okay, not about flags, but it is about another tricky problem. What to name those new colonies...

Re: 1207: "AirAware"

Also curious as to whether the WRONG refers to yelling at strangers from the sky or the business making money. I think it's the second one. A business does not have to make money if it's run by BHG. People suffering is payment enough. Plus think of all those internet startups with lots of users, a ...

Re: 1184: "Circumference Formula"

Grr. My favourite newspaper insists on using Coulombs as a unit of temperature, e.g. "Temperatures in parts of the UK dropped to -5C last night". I'm guilty of doing this, sometimes. Only because I can't find the key for the 'degrees' symbol on my phone keyboard. On my laptop keyboard I t...

Re: 1129: "Cell Number"

I always wonder why the US doesn't use a non-geographic area code for mobile phones. It's common in most other countries that I know of (eg, UK 07, France 06 & 07, Australia 04 ...). Probably a good reason for this, but I've never heard it.

Re: 1002: "Game AIs"

Am I the only person disappointed that "Global Thermonuclear War" was unaccountably left out? I think WOPR figured it out, eventually...

(I realise the answer to the above question is almost certainly "yes"... :-) )

Re: "Raptor Fences" discussion (#758)

Does anyone else go out to the park specifically to give the ducks a hard time about their recent evolutionary history? "Oh how the mighty are fallen!" "quack." "Not so dominant-lifeform-with-teeth now are we?" "quack." "My name is Tyrannosaurus, king of...

Re: "Seat Selection" Discussion

I'm also going on a flight later this month. Sadly, I selected my seat when I booked it, otherwise I'd try this :-(

Also, this might go towards explaining the sunglasses:
