Re: Breaking Bad

I think this has to be one of my favorite shows of all time. Even if you don't like it it's hard to watch it and not think Bryan Cranston is incredible as Walter White; he really deserved those awards.

Re: Perfect Moments In Music

Fireworks by Animal Collective starting from around 3:10, is one of the coolest and strange mix of vocals, samples and drums ever and I love it.

If you've ever heard it, A Perfect Circle's cover of Love Song by the cure is worlds apart from the original.

Re: Books you like that no one else has heard of

I constantly urge people to read Hidden Cities and Cosmicomics, both written by Italian writer Italo Calvino. Both books are very epic and beautiful, almost magic realist at times but not completely so. I would suggest people read Cosmicomics first and see if they like it. It's a series of stories t...

Re: If you could combine two(or more) games

Oblivion and Army of Two or any co-operative game really. What I'm getting at is that Oblivion with two players would be incredible.

There is something about Rainbow Six games I can't stay away from, but my friend and I mainly play Vegas 2 at least a few times a week.

Re: Bands you like but everyone else hates?

It seems like everybody has a strong dislike of Crystal Castles. They're an electro-indie band from Toronto who are a little rough around the edges which is why I guess people have issues with them. The singer sounds like electricity sometimes.

The Princess Bride is probably my favorite I can think of. Also if you're going for something a little out of the ordinary and like artsy pieces, you could look into The Fountain as well as Mulholland Drive.

I've always loved the first Aureliano Buendia from 100 Years of Solitude as well as Benno von Archimboldi from 2666; probably Archimboldi a little more.

Hopscotch by Julio Cortazar and it's really interesting because you can read it so many ways: every odd chapter, even chapter etc.

Labyrinths by Jorge Luis Borges; a collection of short stories usually philosophically themed. If you like to have some mind altering experiences you should try it out.

I've been reading all the top quality stuff for years—Penny Arcade, XKCD, Starslip—and have recently gotten into some really top notch stuff such as Bear Nuts and The Adventures of Dr. McNinja.

I'd say try and give the band Beirut a shot. They're an indie American band heavily influenced by eastern European music. They're not gonna be for everybody but I'm sure some people will get as obsessed with them as I have. Oh yeah and here's a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjzVbXeD_8E

Re: The worst film you've seen

If you ever get the chance, try and find (or don't depending on how you look at these kinds of things) a copy of Feeders, a charming low-budget film about little rubber toy aliens causing complete and utter destruction of the planet earth, while two incredibly goofy guys on a road trip get caught in...
