Re: Sleep-time holodeck experiences

It was so clear to me when I woke up, but now I only remember it vaguely. There was a box or crate, and inside was a pop star. He had been criminally abducted and was inside the box against his will. My mother was with me, and she noticed that the guy was inside the box. The prisoner continued to us...

Risk of Rain 2 just released on Steam. It's $19.99, but you get one extra copy if you buy it before the 30th. It's early access, but I'm a huge fan of the first game so I thought the price was good for two copies.

Re: Sleep-time holodeck experiences

I had a detailed and very disturbing dream. A couple and their young son went for a vacation to a sunny vacation town. They left their son alone for a bit, and he was abducted by criminals. When the parents found the criminal leader to ask for their son's return, the crime boss told them that they w...

Re: You gotta get into Dwarf Fortress if you haven't already.

Dwarf Fortress is coming to Steam. I was surprised at the news. I'm also uncertain as to the game's future. They said on Bay12 that the free version will still be available and will be regularly updated. Are they also going to update the Steam version? It might just be the same version with a tile s...

Something about using a magical stringed instrument to become a superhero. I was more like the sidekick, but my power was equal to the superhero. The instrument itself was handheld like a large guitar, but heavy and made of metal. Rather, it should have been heavy, but it was easily carried by me. I...

I dreamed I was scheduled to participate in an auto race, to take place in the middle of town on a wooden track that was built over a pond. About 75% of the track was over water, and there were no barriers around the track, and it wasn't very large and was quite narrow. I was worried that the vehicl...

I dreamed that I needed a shower, and there were two public bathrooms. The one I chose was disgustingly filthy, and I decided that I'd feel dirtier if I showered there. So I entered the other room, and it was quite nice, with over twenty individual shower stalls. The rest of the dream was of me tryi...

Why do they put salt on the peanut shells? The shell is discarded and what is inside the shell is eaten. If you want salt on your peanuts, shouldn't it be applied to the peanuts instead of the part that's discarded? That just discards the salt as well.

About two years ago I built a new PC. It was my first custom build, and it turned out fine. But I have had a problem with Windows 10 s...

I'm still interested in this game, and I'm glad to see that it's gotten a positive reception after its full release. I read somewhere that it had 14 years in development, which is quite a long time, but I'm impressed to see such a successful result. Early access games usually don't give me high hope...

I wanted to trade in my car and buy a new one, so I just gave to the keys to a friend (who was kind of like James Franco) to do it for me. I'd consider Chinatown's ending a downer ending. The protagonist gains nothing, and loses his love interest. The villain gets away with his scheme unpunished, but loses his daughter. She is revealed to have lived a very troubled life, and dies after she sees hope of being able to escape that life. T...

I mean there is no continuity across the relay coil. The relay is 24VDC and I don't have a readily available power source for that kind of test. I could probably replace a transistor, or a resistor, or a capacitor, or something else, if I knew how to troubleshoot the PCB and find the faulty componen...

My oven stopped working a few days ago. The bottom element won't heat. I checked the element, and it seems fine, since it has continuity and will actually get hot if short circuited.
