40D, no burrows.

My diagnosis is that he is stuck. Double check he isn't trapped, it would be the reason no one is brining any thing to where he is as well.

Re: You gotta get into Dwarf Fortress if you haven't already

If you were to make a Dwarven spaceship you wouldn't use the water or magma as a shield you would use it as a automated repair system for the hull.

A breach opens a cell of water and a cell of magma that should fill the area with obsidian.

Uncreative Supperspies. As long as you were playing with the Psylons and kept them really happy I never had a problem with tech. :) When ever I start next to the Klackons I re-equip all my ships with AP weapons and go to town. Out of all my games with an advanced start they have never had sheilds in...

Re: You gotta get into Dwarf Fortress if you haven't already

My fort has turned into a police state! I no longer have a mayor, broker or manager. The only positions I have is Captain of the Guard, Chief Medical Dwarf, and Arsenal Dwarf. So I have no idea on the value of anything, can't manage jobs. I do have the old mayor, he's lying with several broken ribs ...

Wow, you don't really need to play a game of 3d chess to do it. Just 4 boards would work.

Sounds alot like the indie RTS that uses time travel and timeline propagation. Aka: Fun.

Edit: Achron is the games name.

You can change how much or how little you control your empire.

The only thing you can't directly control is your private ships.

You don't need to find them any more. If you dig far enough you will find the great Magma Sea.

My near surface forts now use a system of steel pumps to move the magma to the fortress. Not that I haven't done that before, but now it's less of a 'Hey let's do this' and more of a normal affair.

Re: You gotta get into Dwarf Fortress if you haven't already

Did the kill order work? No, which was surprising. I think the problem may have been him holding the crossbow in his left hand, and a shield in the other. That shouldn't be a problem. Most of my Dwarves end up ambi-dextrous becouse the pick up order is right-left-right. There also used to be a bug ...

Re: Star Wars: The Old Republic

My impression of the system for SWTOR is that the instances give you binary choices, and then those choices accumulate somehow; but part of the problem there is that if it's an MMO, you're going to be running that instance multiple times. In the example they show, you can either kill the captain or...

Why cheat to steal things? The only reason there was to do that trick is because it got around them hating you. I personally trade with all caravans, heavily in their favor. Actually, the way I recall the backstory being given in Deus Ex 2, it would certainly be interesting if you were to play 2 before 1. The things that might be spoilers for DE1 in DE2 are the same "Oh! I remember this!" moments the other way around. I'd definitely try it if I were you. ('Yo...

Re: Game Prices

Console games are a safer route, but I'd stay away from Gamestop and other similar box stores. The real issue with that is that what they pay people for used games isn't that great for known good sellers, but it's goddamn shitty for specialized games. Underwater Basket Weaver 3000, for example, the...

It's going to be a subscription. Even thought they probably say that the price is TBA it should be $15 a month. Unless they want to be weird and break the mold with a $10 a month sub. Don't expect it to be more than 15 for the simple fact of their competition.

It's not hard seeing each side have the same 4 classes just under a different name. Which isn't to say that they will probably have abilities that won't b...

I would love to see a MMO set in the Metroid universe. Space Bounty Hunter the MMO seems like it would have problems, though.
