But we also have a new comic... So who wants to stay up for another half an hour to see if this keeps going? pretty sure this is inevitable... Oh no, now that there is a new comic posted, _everyone_ will assume that that was the end of this one and never ever go back to that page again. (major majo...

Gah this suspense is killing me. I'm so glad I'm in Australia and the Wednesday comic is released at ~Midday where I live. I can't imagine yet another late night refreshing every 30 minutes.

Don't do this IRL. From my experience, hearing anything less than a 7 means that the doctor/nurse/whoever will laugh you all the way back to your car. So even if you think it's just a cut in the leg, IT'S AN 8 GODDAMMIT!

As I am not a linguistics student, I think this absolutely amazing and would never have noticed it otherwise.

As I _AM_ a CS student, I'd like to point out Huffman Coding wouldn't be much more efficient in this case.

I'd say the meme is as old as Cartography.

Would adding a 12th dimension help in anyway? Watching that video on the 10th dimension seemed to imply it could go in ad infinium, although I stopped watching around dimension 7 (BIG BANG!? NOBODY TALKS TO ME LIKE THAT!)

I don't actually get the joke. I get the Pen fifteen, but not why it's funny.

But on a related note, I was at a Diablo LAN last night, and one of my mates named his character Pen15.

Re: ln(x) or log(x)?

On the topic of engineers, I'd be curious to hear stories of some sort of construction failure due to someone down the line mistaking log 10 with log e. It would not surprise me. Personally, I'm a log = 10, ln = e, lg = 2. But it's all very contextual. If I'm doing CS work, nearly every logarithm is...

That took a long time, I was too scared to post a topic because I'd get it very wrong.

I honestly had to read it twice before I actually got it. Lack of sleep. At least it's better than the Center for Reproductive Medicine's conference.
