Re: Today I Learned

Yeah, but i don't really like to over-analyze everything to that point. :P But my philosophy teacher always manages to mention Freud at least once in every single class.

Re: Today I Learned

According to my philosophy teacher, all songs written by John Lennon can relate to Freud's psychoanalytical theories. All of them.

Re: NHL Hockey

I was at a couple of those Carolina vs. Toronto games that year. Great series, lots of OT, tons of Toronto fans drove down because it is easier to get Canes tickets than Leafs tickets. I actually really like Toronto fans; always really nice people. Very different from Buffalo, Detroit, and New Jers...

Re: What **should** you be doing right now?

    Studying for my philosophy exam.
Memorizing my lines for my drama summative.
Memorizing my major scales around the circle of fifths for my music exam.
Instead, I am ripping Beatles CDs my friend let me borrow. Right in the school library on my spare.

Re: NHL Hockey

I am (unfortunately) a Leafs fan. Only year I remember that was great for the Leafs was 2002, when they made it to the Eastern Conference Finals, but lost to Carolina. ): And now they are trying to rebuild. But last night's game in Chicago was EPIC. Them breaking their 49-year Stanley Cup drought wo...

Take Five - The Dave Brubeck Quartet

The school jazz band I was in played an arrangement of this piece. The person who played an improvised solo at one point in the arrangement was just phenomenal. But, I still like the original song the most. :V

Re: Radiothread

Mmm... I love Radiohead! (: I was obsessed with them a few years ago, but that has sort of died down, but they are still my favourite band. I remember someone linked me to their live performance of Paranoid Android on Jools Holland, and I immediately just fell in love with them. I bought OK Computer...

Re: Ottawa kids soccer league stops blowout wins

Well, that seems stupid. I remember playing soccer for my high school team last year. We were not a very good team whatsoever (no wins, one tie and 4 losses), and one of those losses we got blown out 10-1. But we still played the rest of the game and at the end of it we actually laughed it off. XD W...

Re: People that claim ethnicity but don't speak the language

I guess I would be one of those people. I do consider myself Croatian (though i also have Czech and Italian roots) but i cannot speak the language (yet, anyways, just a few words).Yes, I was born in Canada, but I do not entirely feel "Canadian". Plus, it doesn't help that my father never w...

Re: Recommend one artist

I've seen Radiohead mentioned a few times already, so i will recommend another one of my favourite groups. That would be the Seatbelts. They are Yoko Kanno's band and performed the music for Cowboy Bebop , so if there are any Bebop fans out there, I wouldn't be surprised that you know their music al...

I can only speak English. But, I would absolutely love to learn hrvatski (Croatian). I know the alphabet and a few words, but that is really all since my father didn't want to teach me when I was younger. ):
