1. Intro thread. Go post in it.

2. Am I honestly the only one who's not at all embarrassed of anything that I listen to? I don't even see the point, really. If you like a song or an album or an artist, you like them; that's nothing to be ashamed of.

There is no character that is "broken" in the sense of overpoweredness. If you can't beat a character, that's your fault for not being able to come up with an efficient counter, not the character's. Not trying to be inflammatory, either - that's the truth. And wavedashing and L-canceling a...

Oh, one more thing, mang: The Melvins. If you want non-mainstream rock, definitely go for The Melvins - anything off the Houdini album will do fine. King Buzzo (the frontman/guitarist) was playing grunge ten years before grunge was popular, and he was partially responsible for Nirvana's formation.

Also on the J-puff topic, besides the fact that it has Rest, it might have short range, but its attacks hit hard . A good Jigglypuff player gets up in your face, hits fast and hard, and generally stays as annoying as possible. Characters with good defenses and whose melee attacks have long range (e....

There aren't any "bullshit characters" (though I joke about Mewtwo and Pichu a lot). Like I said earlier, it's a lot less about which character you choose and a lot more about whose hands that character is in.

Basically, wavedashing is jumping, then immediately air-dodging diagonally towards the ground to slide along the ground. It allows you to move substantially faster than running, but it's fairly difficult to do efficiently. It's commonly used by professional players to execute mindgames.

Tomas Kalnoky / Streetlight Manifesto / B.O.T.A.R. topic.

For the uneducated, Tomas Kalnoky is the current frontman of the technical ska band Streetlight Manifesto and the acoustic outfit Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution, as well as the ex-frontman of seminal ska-punk band Catch 22 and the lesser-known pop-punk three-piece Gimp. I happen to think that th...

You say that as if professional Smash is all about people wavedashing around, which it's not. At all. Wavedashing was intentional. It could easily have been removed by HAL, but they didn't. Strapping Young Lad sticks out to me as being particularly awesome on that list, but you desperately need some power metal. Check out Blind Guardian, Kamelot, Iced Earth, and (if you don't mind harsh vocals) Children of Bodom to start, as those are relatively well-known among the metal community.
