Does it have to be within US?
Because wouldn't the longest path be from the eastern part of Russia to the south of south Africa?

Re: Today I Learned

Today I learned that watching YouTube videos on string theory followed by more videos on understanding all 10 dimensions (well, 11, but the vid I watched only had 10) and trying to follow it in the early morning can actually give you a headache. It felt like someone cut open my head, mixed my brain ...

If I had the skills, I would so make an xkcdsw of that zombie outbreak one, ending with "Mission fucking accomplished"

But alas, my image editing skills are limited.

Re: Making the world a weirder place

For about three months I wondered if there is a limit to how many extra patties and cheese you can get on a mcdonalds burger. A month ago, I found out you could have loads of 'em if you so wished. Life has issued me a challenge of the ultimate Big Mac, and I must accept! If I follow through, I&...

Re: Confessional Shed - I'll keep a look-out

I was expecting some kind of weird fetish. Oh well. Just tell her you're into anthropomorphology. You like it when she acts like a cat or a duck or something. If she asks if you're into animals, just say no, you're into people . You just have a haptic tendency, is all: the feeling of certain surfac...

Re: Confessional Shed - I'll keep a look-out

What's the fetish? I'm sure the step method would be handy to introduce it and normalise it over time. You have, after all, only been dating for three months. If you had, say, my fetish , then you'd work up from margarined goldfish tail, and slowly push the envelope until she's accommodating enough...

Alright. Here's what happened on Monday, as written by a scribe. BEGIN Me - Close your eyes, empty your mind as well as you can. Ignore your surroundings and focus on what I am saying. Now go back to your beach. Can you still feel the sand? (pause) Dig your feet in a little further. Can you hear the...

Re: Awesome Student Quotes

So sometimes in Maths, our teacher gives us these codes that we solve equations to figure out (each answer is assigned a letter) The most recent one was a "joke", and I use the term very loosely. Q- What has long hair and purple feet? A- A lion that makes it's own wine! As people solved it...

The issue I'm getting him to think about on Friday will be something along the lines of... How do I put this... An issue in the past that is on his conscience, but he's not sure why. I suppose possibly, one could start from said emotion and work backwards as a form of memory recovery... At this poin...

Re: Fleeting/Random/Thoughts (Random like the plague)

I think you have the Ah-moe and Bee-bo right. For cogitus, however, I think it's closer to Coh-jit-tus, with the u sounding sort of like a french u. I'm sure the i is not pronounced eye though, since I've only seen that sound used for an i in germanic languages. For the sum, once again, I think it'...

Just wondering here:
Cogitus ergo sum- Is it pronounced Cog-eye-tiss err-go some?
Bibo ergo sum- It is pronouned Bee-bo or bye-bo?
Amo ergo sum- It is pronouned Ah-moe?
Just wondering, because I wanted to pick up some Latin mottos for me and a few friends of mine.

Hello xkcd Science forum! Yes I am new here, bear with me. Because I am new, a little bit of background before I continue. I am only 15 years old, so some of the xkcd jokes go a little over my head. I am heavily interested in science and maths. I plan on studying human biology in university, maybe c...
