But I want to get back to my question - everyone says healthy is most important, but how do you react when you see you've packed on a couple pounds? Again, not enough to tip you into unhealthy/obese range, but just a few new pounds. Normally I only gain any weight during the holidays, due to winter...

Pretty much. There's nothing *more* sensical about a sentient, omnipotent being coming into existence for no reason than an ordered, rational universe coming into existence for no reason. Sure there is. It makes more sense for the reason I posted right after. Basically, it's illogical for a finite ...

Most of these will take years to achieve, and require quite a lot of work in getting there, however I were fortunate enough to realise how silly it would be not to...

I think one major failure of capitalism is a failure at a long term sustainable economy. The economy is based purely on the prospect of growth, and so we end up with problems of escalation(similar to this particular example). Not that I have any idea what to do about it, or how to get people to do ...

No, I can't convince you that Newtonian mechanics doesn't work on the right scale and speeds. But I CAN convince you that believing in a universe based on absolute space and time, determinism, etc. IS absurd.
