I don't think we could. The King or Queen is also head of the Church of England, and would therefore have to be protestant.

Re: NYTimes Doubles Down on Subscription

Whether or not you can bypass it, that's still annoying. I've got quite good at rationing myself to 20 articles a month, but at 10 per month per PC it's barely worth trying to read the NY Times at all. Which is a shame, because NYT and the BBC are my two main news sources. You could try paying for ...

Re: Doctor Whom

It is par for the course for some programmes, but since the reboot Doctor Who has had 13 episodes a year plus specials (apart from the cross-over period of 2009). Cutting that back to 7 episodes a year seems kinda sucky.

I think Croatia are marginally the best side in the group, with Scotland, Serbia and Belgium all close behind. Wales are a wee bit behind those four. There was a lot of international friendlies last night. France beat Germany 2-1, USA beat Italy 1-0 in Genoa, Netherlands beat England 3-2 and Spain beat Venezuela 5-0. Messi scored his first international hat-trick against Switzerland. Scotland managed a 1-1 draw away to Slovenia. Not a bad result,...

That is ridiculous, but I'm not sure I would say it's a "frightening" ruling. I don't think the US judicary is in much danger of overly pandering to Muslims. I imagine this judge is a bit of a one off. It seems odd there was no quotes from the judge though. Presumably the reporter wasn't i...
