Re: I feel really grown up when..

I have seen a 24 hour analog clock and it wasn't really too compact but it did force you to actually look at it since I wasn't used to it. I'm sure if I were used to it, it would have the same glancability as the 12-hour variety.

Re: What are you readioactive now(and other book related stu

I am currently reading both Gödel, Escher, Bach and Necronomicon: The Best Weird Tales of H.P. Lovecraft. I am enjoying both but I can't read either one very frequently or for long durations so it is taking me a while to make it through.

I've never understood why most of Europe uses 24 hour time for everything yet still has 12 hour analog clocks.

Re: Awesome Thread (because we need more awesome)

I never really got too excited when I got mine, either one of my parents or my older brother was always available to take me somewhere if I really needed it. I also lived in a smallish town where a bike could get me nearly everywhere I wanted to go if I really had to. Several friends had already got...

Re: Rant Thread (because we need more ranting)

There are several subjects that I'm interested in and would like to learn more about but not to the point of taking a 4 credit class about it. Why can't there be some 1 or 2 credit options with minimal work for those of us that would like to take it out of pure curiosity and not for any major? Does...

I really wish I could remember more dreams. The only dreams I really remember are from several years ago or longer. It's only about once a month that I even wake up thinking that was a weird/cool/frightening dream. I generally sleep the entire night and wake up with a blank slate. The dreams I do re...

I am in the near perfect grammar while texting category, some of my friends like to make a huge deal of it if I make a minor grammatical error.

Rant: In 12+ years of school, I have never been taught the proper use of either the colon or the semicolon.

I like to keep things plain. If you're curious that's Venice, I didn't hold the camera still enough when it decided it needed to keep the shutter open for a while but I still really like the picture.

I'm just curious, how did you decide on the table hockey game and not something else. Personally I don't find it very exciting to begin with that I would want to put so much time into mechanizing it, though I do find what you did interesting.

There are definitely honors options at UW they just are too widely advertised, if that is something that you are interested in it would help if you asked someone in admissions about it instead of waiting for the information to come to you.
