I don't have army-short hair and I still don't use shampoo. I use glycerine soap for both hair and body. Mostly for the fact that it's almost odorless.

Frequency of sex

# 18-29 year olds have sex an average of 112 times per year, 30-39 year olds an average of 86 times per year, and 40-49 year olds an average of 69 times per year (Piccinino, Mosher, 1998).

I don't know about favorite, but the Smiths' 'This Night Has Opened My Eyes' is... heavy.

Opening lines:

'In a river the colour of lead

I'm pretty sure it's not about a baptism ('She could've been a poet or she could've been a fool').

There's an extra issue with LP records (CDs too, I guess) nowadays and it is that many people buy their vinyl used--which means that the artist(s) never see(s) a dime from that purchase, just the record-store owner.

Knoppix on old(er) Toshiba laptop question - 640x480 video?

Hello everyone. I downloaded and burnt a Knoppix live CD (5.1.1) today, to try on an old Toshiba notebook PC I've been given (it's a Tecra 8100.) At bootup, before switching to the graphic UI, the live disc prints out something like 'Toshiba xxxx adapter detected. Available modes: 640 x 680.' I was ...
