Re: The Eurovision Song Contest Thread - "xkcd, douze points!"

Spain I didn't get. You can't make a successful song by: a) Having a Borat with Elvis toupee as your main singer b) Bringing on a MyLittlePony-esque child's electronic guitar toy, and then playing it badly c) Making up a dance routine by spelling out four basic moves that already had established na...

Re: Bands in the same vein as Neutral Milk Hotel/Beirut?

I guarantee you will love Circulatory System, it features Jeff Mangum from NMH, and is all psychedelic wonderfulness. http://www.myspace.com/thecirculatorysystem Okay, so I can't guarantee anything, but they're certainly worth a look, they make splendid summertime music. Well, if they resemble the ...

Bands in the same vein as Neutral Milk Hotel/Beirut?

Hello everyone. I thought about the following a few days back and figured I'd post when I had a chance. Neutral Milk Hotel have been a favorite of mine for a fair while now, and I've recently become acquainted with/started enjoying a bit of Beirut as well. One of the things common to both bands are ...

http://www.dance-lyrics.com/ama/help_b000002ual.jpg Original 1965 stereo mix (as opposed to the 'secret' 1987 re-mix by George Martin, which lacks balls in comparison.) That's a snobbish comment to make up for the fact that I'm listening to the single most popular group in the history of pop music ...

Re: WANTED: Media Player that isn't Le Sucke

As I despise Windows Meeja Player and all its followers, but love the 'Scope' green-bar visualisation; is there any other media player that does this as well as WMP? All I want is a green line that beats to the music, like a heart monitor. No flashy-swirly Appley crap. I haven't used Winamp in a wh...

I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Exact Audio Copy yet. It's supposed to turn out the most accurate rips.

Having said that, I've switched to CDex + LAME, configured as an external encoder so I can use its V0 mode.

Doesn't the 'usual' way work?

Does it still default to thumbnail view after that?

Well, down here (Argentina) we call blood sausage--I'm fairly sure it's the same thing--morcilla, and you can have a morcipan (morcilla + pan, bread) which is a grilled (BBQed) morcilla in a (toasted) bun, eaten as a sammich... deelicious.
