Re: The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo - Day 1 (Where are you?)

I don't know whether to believe that unix is newbie town, or that he's hiding behind his newbie-ness to protect himself as scum. He's made some bad calls, but with being new as an excuse some people seem OK with letting it slide. I, on the other hand, don't buy it. If we let him hide behind being ne...

William and unix, D1 no lynch is not good. I know that it's been said a few times by now, but NL is a really bad idea D1. Nobody really likes making an uninformed lynch (well, maybe a few people do, but for the most part no-one) but D1 no lynch isn't helpful in the least. We can at least get some te...

Re: The 13 Ghosts of Scooby-Doo - Day 1 (Where are you?)

I expect a 9/3/2/1 or 9/4/2 (or 9/4/1/1) split will be the setup here. This makes me expect a cult or some sort of team-switching: 8... Alignments and wincons can change during the game, both as a result of claims and through other mechanisms. That would seem to suggest that a cult may in fact be pr...

With respect to the simcity debate, I think in that case it comes down to the game not meeting peoples' expectations. If they had called the game "SimCity Online" nobody (well, significantly fewer) people would have complained about the always-online part. it's clearly not meant to be a si...

Ofcourse that would be pointless doing that for games that doesn't have a monthly fee... Unless you have a game that requires you to be connected to a server to play (you know, like Simcity does). you could run the server on your own PC or on a LAN and use that to avoid needing to be online to play.
