Define rich?

Over the next decade Brazil is projected to have the 5th largest GDP, thanks in large part to their abundant natural resources (crude oil, iron, nickel, gold, uranium, timber all stuff they have).

If youre genuinely proficient with (eg) Scheme, rather than just having rudimentary knowledge, then I wouldnt leave it off your CV. So, what type of jobs are we talking about? Help Desk is what you'd currently be qualified for? And with a 4 year degree, you'd want to do what (networking? Windows Active Directory? maintain corporate firewalls?)? If you're a 4.0 Student, and you can get into an "Elite" school (doesn't ha...

Neither. War, like life, is a culmination of everything put into it. Hindsight is not 20/20. Had the Russians not pushed Germany back and pursued to Berlin, would DDay have been successful? Had there been no allied support of England, plans to invade France and Italy, would Germany have failed to cr...

It is comparing against all possible flops. Doesn't factor in number of opponents at all. So statically it is saying 33 is better hand then AKs (not considering turn and river here). But I realize strategically it has weakness cause there so many overpairs that could be beating you. Ok, so, probabl...

Let's say you do just have A always win, B beats everyone but A, etc and being paired against the same player multiple times isn't allowed. 16 players, 0 rounds, you have all at 0-0 records. 16 players, 1 rounds, you have half at 1-0 records and half at 0-1 records. 16 players, 2 rounds, you have 1/...

Re: Big O of Swiss Tournament

Uhm, Swiss tournaments aren't particularly interested in second, third, fourth, or n ranked players. You should end up with a bell curvish distribution of players based on their win loss records. Almost every swiss tournament I've ever attended has been floor(log2(n))+1 (unless n is a power of 2, in...

I don't see anything in your code to indicate the number of opponents played against (so I assume it's just head's up).

You should program it to be for up to N players (as starting input, this will require your code to run longer, but whatev).
