Re: LOTR books, movies

Zarq wrote:(I finally added his most important books, LOTR;Hobbit;Silmarillion, to my Amazon wishlist yesterday)

Be warned, the Silmarillion can be a slog to get through. It's not something that needs to be read cover to cover, which helps a lot with it.

Re: LOTR books, movies

Being a Tolkien fan and not reading Lord of the Rings makes about as much sense as being a fan of Salinger without reading Catcher in the Rye, or MZD without House of Leaves.

So no, such a thing cannot really exist.

Kraken rum is something I've been having great times with lately. Dark, strong, sweet and spiced, and moderately priced as well.

It also has the best ad campaign ever, but that's beside the point.

Maybe, but sitting in the newspaper for 2-3 turns until everyone has a retainer + $5-10, then down to the shops for a weapon, then into the fray just seems so overpowered compared to heading into the gates first. Which takes 4 turns at the very least, and maybe 5 or 6. That's one hell of a head sta...

My girlfriend just received this book in the mail. It was ordered via an online seller under her name, only she has no account with that store and was not charged for it.

If any book deserves that method of acquiring it, it's House of Leaves.

Some areas of the game seem slightly broken at the moment, for example the newspaper has almost entirely positive encounters, some of which are really really good for getting cash, whereas the church seems awful, with multiple ways to lose items/money. Those are very intentional. Having encounters ...

Bob Dylan writes words, not music. His lyrics are great, but his execution leaves much to be desired.

Which is why Dylan covers tend to be so good.

As a Packers fan, I've got nothing to be ashamed of. I'd chalked this one up as a loss as soon as I saw the matchup, and Rodgers' concussion didn't help at all. But Flynn played his ass off, and if it weren't for that last play, we could have seen a much different result. Flynn's going to be startin...
