Re: Researchers Reverse Cognitive Impairment from Sleep Loss

I want to know if it makes the recipient of the drug feel less tired, or if they still become tired but if they can't sleep memory capability doesn't drop as much. I believe if it is proven to reduce the effects of sleep deprivation, if it might also stave off death from sleep deprivation. If not it...

Re: Researchers Reverse Cognitive Impairment from Sleep Loss

While this could potentially be a great help for those with sleeping disorders, it is true that a drug like this would have huge ramifications. Environmentally, large groups of people using electricity 24 hours a day would have a major impact. The effects on employment would be staggering, as bette...

Re: Researchers Reverse Cognitive Impairment from Sleep Loss

I'd love to know how people get 8 hours sleep a day, but it's just not feasible for many people. In order to afford college, car payments, car insurance, gas/food etc I work 70-80 hours a week. On the weekend I work 10am - 1 am both days, mondays gotta be up at 7 to get to my first job by 9, work 9-...

Odd, I have always heard justification for hate-crime laws being that since they were crimes due to a property of the victim, it is not just a crime against the victim but also to strike fear into other people who have that property. Not because they may receive a lesser sentence due to discriminati...

Secondary objectives are to go to space. Just give me a large amount of food and launch me away. Sooner or later I'll be playing DnD compaigns with myself.

Keyboard space could be saved by having the keyboard overlapping the touch display. On something of that size physical feedback could occur by morphing a touch screen with this technology... that I can't find a link to. It was a block that controls a membrane to go from solid to near liquid and back...

Will the ghost of that little girl ever meet my little girl? She's one now she must have been three then, maybe four. She's eighteen now, I'm 25 now, I must have been twelve then. My mother said he was in his 30's and she's now pressing charges, although she's been indited, and I can't blame her. I...

A major difference between this and requiring auto insurance, is that if you don't want to pay for auto insurance you can (depending on location) quite easily not get a car. If you don't want to pay for health insurance, you can't as easily decide not to live.

Prefacing this with the fact that I have not read the bill as I cannot find it online, and it changes often. However is there a clause to maintain a non-profit agenda? When I was in first grade, I remember being diagnosed as color blind. This led me to thinking that perhaps people don't see things the same way, specifically color. For instance every thing you see that is blue, appears to me as yellow. Now we both call it blue because we have been told that an obje...

Yeah, no new news. However I am really annoyed at the idea that you can go and eat all the sugar you want if you are active enough to burn the extra calories. Sugar does a lot of things to your body that are bad besides simply being empty calories. As for soda being the main culprit, it's due to the...

I have a feeling that no one has talked about this due to a very simple problem with it that I have missed, however what would be wrong with a non-profit health care system.
