Re: Fake Gun Store

Nobody proposes disarming America, if only because it is impossible. No elected national leader has ever advocated such a move. Americans want better controls on who can have what sort of gun.

But in truth, I was attracted to the video mostly because it, and the reaction to it, amuses me.

Fake Gun Store

I hope this forum can handle what is often a hot-button topic with Americans. An gun-safety group set up a fake gun store in New York City. (There seems to be only one real gun store in the city, due to local laws.) People came in an were told by the fake clerk of the history of the guns, "this...

The state has said they will seek the death penalty.

I am opposed to executions. Still some people just seem to be asking for it.

Something wrong about arguing as to the guy's motives. They need to lock him up and melt the key. I do not feel a lot of need to understand his reasoning in any but the most clinical sense.

Tell me how to achieve the right thing? There are, give or take, about 29 million Saudi's. How would you go about convincing those 29 million men, women and children that their culture should switch over to a Western esthetic, with gender equality and all? One at a time, I suppose. Or seventeen at ...

Forgive me, i was talking about the article on the front page of today's New York Times.

The Cuban-American/Florida vote is meaningless to the Democrats. First off, it is as likely as not to be a very popular move in two more years. Second, Florida is so solidly Republican red that the Democrats need have no fear of losing a state they will probably lose anyway.
