Re: 121: "Frozen Rivers"

"This would wipe out several fish species completely" I learnt that if you put a goldfish in liquid nitrogen and freeze it, it will revive when it's back to water. So if the rivers are frozen instantly, will the fish survive? I guess it depends on the size of the fish, but what's the criti...

Re: 1447: " Meta-Analysis"

Recursive? How so? For a meta-meta-meta-analysis to be recursive it would have to be analysing itself and then it wouldn't be a meta-meta-meta-analysis at all but a meta-meta-meta-meta-analysis and that's what you should be calling it. Then, of course, it wouldn't be a meta-meta-meta-meta-analysis ...

Since our problem is cylindrically symmetical, the sheet can be modelled as a simple spring ( F = -kx ). Why? It's not correct. It's stretching the center of the sheet, so it's different. If you stretch in the middle of a spring in a direction perpendicular to the spring, it's not Hook's law. And t...

"parishoners" or "parishioners"? I'm not native english speaker and don't know this word, so I looked up dictionaries and find parishioner. But I can also find parishoner on webpages. Is it a typo or are they both right?
