Re: Waterloo Region Meet, Especially For Gordon - Jan 30, 2009

I would seriously love to play some board games. Trivial Pursuit? Does anyone have that? (Evan, I'm looking at you.) I would also be up for hosting a thing at my place, if everyone is okay with that. It is safe, but we do have a cat. Mid-March would probably also be all right. Everyone bring pie! O...

I'm a pretty big n00b when it comes to Risk, so if anything, I'll probably just be spectating. Unless people are interested in playing Trivial Pursuit or chess, in which case I am so totally up for that that I am down for it. But yeah, I'm definitely coming, either way.

So I got to try a couple new beers recently. Kronenbourg is a french lager, and for me personally, very much enjoyed. The other was called Le Maudite, which is brewed in Montreal and is also quite delicious, though considerably heavier alcoholically than Kronenbourg, at around 8.3%. I think Le Maudi...

Proton and photon are kind of similarly spelled... This might be your problem here. Assuming we're dealing with a proton and not a photon, we have the following, based on de Broglie: c = 3e6 m/s m = 1.67e-27 kg h = 6.626e-34 J s h/λ=mv --> λ = h/mv λ = (6.626e-34 J s)/(3e6 m/s * 1/67e-27 kg) = 1.32...
