Ok. I don't know if taking Advanced Algebra and Pre-Caluclus is going to be too difficult. I've already done some calculus problems out the book and it wasn't that hard, but my counselor told me it's not a good idea.

I'm trying to figure out what I want for a career. My interests are science and math and I am in love with science fiction. I don't really know of any jobs besides astronaut though, and that's not something that I can count on to get into. I'm a Junior in highschool with college around the corner i'...

Re: "Ouch" moments in school

I once got a 8050 out of a 100 point test. Raised me from F- failing to 149%.

Fuck.
Yes.

All due to the period key not working. Or something.

Re: teachers you liked

My Biology teacher tells us to slap kids that don't pay attention in class. When he's not looking, of course. Also, if you sleep in his class, he will pull your desk out from under you and laugh.

Maybe that's not nice, but i've never been on his badside.

Ok. You don't have to train a dog to be mean. If you forget to feed it and it eats you, you're an imbecile.

In respone to people talking to me.

Re: Fake Fireworks at the Olympics

One of my friends told me that the new fireworks stand was selling artillery shells that made smiley faces, but his was a dud so we never got to see it. :P

So sad. But the booth never told us what their initials were for, so i'm thinking they're a cult.

Anyways yeah, they're in America!

Re: War in Georgia

Of course they're taking Georgia over. It's been a thorn in their side since it was created. And there's not a damn thing the West is going to do about it. Next, the Baltic states! Though Ukraine might have interests in Georgia because they both want to join the EU and NATO. "Time will tell. So...

I know, guns are useful for fending off bad people. That's why most cops have them. Just saying, a dog can be mean.

Re: Drinking age in Scotland (and perhaps Britain) to be raised?

Here in the U.S. the Democrats are thinking about a bill to lower the drinking age to 18. At least in my state.

Probably won't pass, and they know this, they just want to bring it to national attention.

Re: War in Georgia

Alright, I haven't verified this claim at all, but it makes sense to me. During the Beslan hostage crisis, apparently the Russians sent their military into Ossetia and gave them Russian citizenship then, creating the clusterf*ck we have now. Although I read this from a Georgian on newsvine, and as I...

Ok, maybe not nearly as bad but it is retarded. My superintendent decided that since, you know, cheering is a bad thing, you aren't allowed to do it at school games. Not that we're being bad or anything, but it must be hard on the old man listening to noise. "It's distracting, sit still and beh...

9/11 Iori? And Russia has been doing worse things for longer, so that arguement doesn't hold well with me. Those Russians have citizenship because of the past Chechen conflict. Where are you from, might I ask?

Something more subtle would be humming or singing The Crying Game, but this works best before revealing genitals.

I'm not sure about this, but my dad was an MP in Seattle, which is where I got this information. Carrying guns at night, on the streets, [i]will not protect you[i], because somebody can be on you within seconds. He told me to invest in a guard dog. Somebody can sneak up on you from the rear, take yo...

I don't know if this is funny or not, but today me and my girlfriend bought 30 pounds of cat litter, and yogurt.

Correction: 75 pounds and a single can of yogurt. At 1 A.M. There's no implication, it's just weird.
