The moon knows what the sea is doing. I think you may have that exactly backwards. The moon is not effected by the sea(it is, but not to a noticeable extent). the sea is effected by the moon. I think that should be "affected", unless you're pulling a 326 on me. Or, and this is vitally imp...

The issue of unlimited energy == really big bomb is more of a problem to me. One could assume that by "unlimited energy" one means something that generates a finite amount of energy-per-second (though presumably enough to power the replicator and anything else in your house you might want...
