Re: 1190: "Time"

FAKEONG... Rule110, I love you for that! You almost had me with the Timing. I was about to check the address, but the "fakeong" gave it away. At least go ONG on us writing it out as FONGAKONGEONONGGONG or FONGAKONGEONG (using the ONG-speak linked to earlier). Glad you liked it! Giving it ...

Re: 1190: "Time"

Wow, I sure am glad I checked the OTT TWICE this weekend, otherwise I would have a lot of catching up to do. You guys are just riddled with tangents. I like the idea of riddles with tangents. Why did the tangent cross the road? The road went to Fall River, Massachusetts. How many tangents does it t...

Indeed.

Well, slightly less painful.

Or at least, somewhat greater chance of survival. Reduced again, though, if you go "shpluck."

Re: 1190: "Time"

Perhaps Cuegan have started walking upstream again and the camera is following them from behind? It appears so. If you zoom in on the zoomed out pix, the camera appears to be behind them, as the backpacks are more or less centered. ETA: Timestream error! I swear I was quoting a new post by descor, ...

Animation of the last three frames: http://xkcd.mscha.org/river.gif It's not zoom, but I don't know what it could be. Walking upstream toward a junction between two rivers? (This would be more normal when walking downstream; streams normally fan out going upstream. But they could be going toward th...

Re: 1190: "Time"

So, we know: Cueball and Megan (and perhaps LaPetite) live near a small river, which they expect to reach the sea eventually, but which has retreated in the past few days. At its driest, the river (water, that is, not the river bed) is farther from their home than the big river. That suggests the sm...

A good time for buffygirl to talk about BSG jumping the shark..Just to give us a topic. Edit: I never did get a suggestion for how they know the sea is still rising. Any ideas? Didn't Megan go back towards the hill? Maybe she saw the castle from there and could see more of it covered???? I assumed ...

The world of Time could be a small scale test run of the universe created in xkcd 505, "A Bunch of Rocks." Being a test run, it contains only a few objects and characters. There may or may not, for instance, be a sun. (We haven't seen night. At present it's still possible that either nigh...

Boomerangundildo is gone. I hope it's drifting out to sea. 1 It always loved to swim away. 2 Maybe it'll find an island with a shady tree. Just like the one in our backyard.
