My role also changed! I did a flavorcop on Vytron, but because my role changed partway through the night I didn't get the results. Did anyone else get a role change overnight?

Re: Hangafia - Day 1. Where are we?

Well, I came back to quite the confusing read. I'm not feeling strongly enough about anything that happened over the weekend to do a deep analysis post, but here are some of my thoughts. First of all, it's kind of annoying that Nebuduck's role as apparently completely changed. If that is the truth, ...

I can confirm that I have not received a mod PM that coincides with the room-shuffling. Re: Hangafia - Day 1. Where are we?

For what it's worth, I am currently of the opinion that the list-scrambling and this PA announcement are the mod messing with us, or at least one is a player-driven power and one is the mod to muddy the waters a bit. The reasoning I have is that the scrambling seems to random and the timing is too r...

Re: The Gojoe Memorial Mafia Discussion Thread

Hangafia: One thing that I remember from my previous attempts at playing Mafia (and one of the reasons that I quit) is that my posts, for some reason, tend to strike everyone as incredibly scummy. It's very frustrating to try to contribute to the discussion with (what I see as) a...

Re: Hangafia - Day 1. Where are we?

I also felt slightly odd about frogman's post, mainly because it seems to be a long text of nothing new. Could you elaborate on this? Re: Hangafia - Day 1. Where are we?

People seem to be suspicious of my caution. While I agree that the scenario I wrote down is poorly thought-out, the point still stands that in my experience private communication in a Mafia game is incredibly powerful, and that it makes any target of RoadieRich's abilities more of a threat to scum f...

Re: Hangafia - Day 1. Where are we?

I am running under the assumption that by "daychat" we mean that the target is allowed to respond. If this is the case, then it is ambiguous to whether or not it is a town-aligned power, whereas if it is not, then it is much more likely to be scummy or independent. In the latter case, admi...

Re: Hangafia - Day 1. Where are we?

If I had to guess, it seems like Hangafia-specific rule #5, out of the flavor-based rules, seems the most likely to be a real rule, with 4 as a close second - "What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" seems to be an unofficial tagline of the movie, so if any of the rules are solely jokes it w...

I can't remember the last time I played forum mafia, but I think it was in 2008. Which is a pretty long time ago! Long enough that I remember some of the other older players but I can't remember their playstyle or what they are known for. So, Nebuduck, as far as I'm concerned you have a clean slate....

Re: The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim : Bacon Workshop

I have a room in my Whiterun house filled with about 200 cabbages. Cabbages are a good random obsessive collectible because they're common and they regrow. Also, they take up a lot of space in my house, so that will make it quicker to completely fill the house. Also, I've put 25 hours into the game ...

Re: The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim : Dual Wield Bacon

The most legitimate "The Empire is a horrible oppressor" argument I've heard from NPCs so far is that they forbid Talos worship, and that prohibition was only because of a treaty with the Aldmeri Dominion. Honestly, I'd rather have the Empire in command in Skyrim than to have not only the ...

I don't think you can use the word "technically" if it's not technically true. The United States has never declared war on North Korea.

South Korea, though, I didn't know. That's interesting that they still are declared, with the lack of actual conflict for so long.
