Then there's those of us who have realized that playing solely for the purpose of affording to play... it gets boring and repetitive after a few months. If I have to spend all my eve time grinding missions or mining for GTCs, I'd rather poke my eyes out with a snapped CD.

You might not know it yet, but it sounds like you've got a classic case of the expansion blues. Things seem a lot more pointless when there is impending change.
