Re: Allusions one should know because of school

I'm in 9th grade and I understood every reference there. College is going to be hell, isn't it? Also, I mostly agree with OP. Everyone coming out of high school should get MOST of these references. They're really not that uncommon. The Gift of the Magi and 1984 references were more obscure, so I und...

Re: Help me get my plane out of a tree

A kite? Excellent idea!
1. Make a hook out of some strong light wire, maybe a coat hanger.
2. Attach it to the kite.
3. Fly the kite. (If it's not windy out, get a leafblower.)
4. ???
5. PROFIT!

Generally, the harder the class, the higher my grade in it. Oh, gosh, same here. I think all of my teachers expect me to have great grades in their classes based on when I talk to them, but that sadly is not the case. Part of it might just be laziness on my part, but the work is also boring as hell.

You could draw big funny pictures of animals? If most of the kids are really into paper airplanes, the airplane thing might work, but I think it would be easy for them to get confused. I think if it's big and colorful, they'll get it pretty quickly.
