Re: The Legend of Mafia Manor: Newbie Round- Day 1

There's also the chance that the player the actual cop investigates will be killed overnight, or that people base their claims on earlier ones ("I investigated ______ too and got the same/different result!"). I'm generally of the opinion that more info is better than less. Martin makes a g...

Re: The Legend of Mafia Manor: Newbie Round- Day 1

I'm actually coming around to MoA's idea. Seeing who people pick for their "investigations" will give us a lot of information to work with (and I can't resist a good logic puzzle). Plus, although it would be unfortunate, loosing the cop does not mean loosing the game, especially since we'v...

Re: The Legend of Mafia Manor: Newbie Round- Day 1

I don't know about MoA's plan. All I can see it doing is flooding the game with WIFOM and helping the mafia find out who the cop is. I think it's up to the cop to decide how and when to reveal their results. It should be possible to leave subtle hints in such a way that if the cop dies, we can deter...

I'm having trouble getting a read on people. I was getting a bad vibe from Rakysh. He seemed a little too aggressive going after F_C, although now it looks like he's backing down from that. I guess I'll wait to see what he says next. I've had trouble getting any kind of reading from Andymeo. been qu...

Re: The Legend of Mafia Manor: Newbie Round- Day 1

I agree with most of the role-speculation so far. I just have a few more thoughts: Stafford's description mentions he'd be happy splitting the money 7 ways. This seems to imply the game could end with 7 winners. Since it's pretty clear Colin Aames is a survivor, I'd say there are 6 actual townies. 6...

Wow. I missed a lot. First off, this Game_Boy thing is really strange. It reads like he's a prole who's decided (for some reason) that he likes the brotherhood more than the party. I guess lynching brotherhood would be ideal, but I don't see game_boy being much help down the road. vote: Game_Boy Als...

Wait, doesn't fMRI (require) gigantic superconducting magnets? Yes, which would be a problem. They might mean that the chip is measuring oxygen content (like an fMRI) rather than direct electrical activity. Of course, the reason for using fMRIs is that you don't have to open up the skull to do it. ...

I seem to have missed The Effects of Patriotism/Religion on the Adult Limbic System(2009) and that sounds like one hell of an article. To be fair, nothing's approved to treat PTSD. There are a few drugs people are working on, but altering learning and memory in specific ways is a really tricky thing...

You seem strangely certain that there are two independent and competing groups of viruses. There are: H1N1 and Herpesvirus 6. This game is a little different.
