Re: Music Video Identification Thread

I have the memory of a song stuck in my head. Not the actual song, but I'm reminded of it's existence by another artist I used to listen to a lot because I was introduced and mildly obsessed with them both for a short time. Things I remember: the artist has a mop of curly brown hair, I think. The mu...

both of my little brothers have chicken pox now! this wouldn't be that big of a deal, except i've never had it before, and i'm almost certain i'm going to catch it (or already have - isn't there an incubation period?). as a 16 year old, i'm pretty sure it's going to suck ass. not looking forward to...

I did it, also, saying something is too loud implies that you'd like it to be quieter. That sounds like a preference to me, given that the survey also asks where and in what field you work.

I don't love nalbinding anymore, but I thought it was neat that it exists at all. I do prefer knitting (and it's probably the most popular of the fiber arts right now) to crochet to nalbinding.

Re: Confessional Shed - I'll keep a look-out

Fuck, y'all-I'm a food service professional with several degrees, one of them in cognitive neurolinguistics. I've been baking for over twenty years now, and most of my coworkers over the years would have seen any desk job as a pansy-assed way of making a living. Also, "stumbling around until y...

Speaking as a 19-year-old-woman, I prefer the term "woman" to girl. I am fully capable of doing adult things, having adult conversations, and at this point I find it harder to empathize with younger girls/women (anyone my age or younger, really. I have used the term "lady" and &q...

Most of the chefs I know enjoy the chance to "just make whatever". When you spend 18 hours a day cooking the same five goddamn items from the menu, you relish the chance to get inventive. [/anecdotal evidence] Also, Wednesday, nice hair. (I've been trying to decide whether posting this wo...

Nalbinding is really cool, but the fabric isn't as useful for the things I want to make. Also, crochet is faster, but some say it uses more yarn for the same gauge.

Crochet is good for amigurumi and that is it. Knitting creates a superior, more even and visually appealing fabric and is therefore more suitable for basically every single application outside of making stuffies.

Bread-cro!

I'm thinking about trying my hand at bread bowls tonight to match the potato and leek soup Belial is going to make. I love baking bread and haven't in a long while, and I bought a kitchenaid mixer recently that I'm dying to put through its paces.

If you take poor enough care of the hair on your body in most places, it'll eventually fall out, become so brittle and dry that it breaks off, or become a matted mess incapable of performing its primary functions - padding, UV protection, and insulation.

Banks aren't usually instant. Even if you deposit the check the same day, it might not be posted that day. And you should certainly be able to mail your check to your bank, which takes a few days. If a business cuts a check, they need to make sure the money to cover that check is in that account, u...
