I've been working with high school students for almost 7 years now. I still die a little inside every time a student grabs a calculator to do something like 8 / 1 (and writes down 5 without batting an eye)

Apparently, it is illegal in Australia to have the police think you may have committed a crime. That's not really accurate. More accurate would be to say that it's illegal to fake a crime.
