Also, "home wifi" includes the problems that both lines of connectivity encounter. I prefer a dedicated cable connection from router to desktop. It works perfectly unless the hub isn't routing at all or (rarely) something has physically damaged the Cat5/RJ45s. Pretty much anything else not...
