Aren't all Darleks clones?
So all it would take is for some flood DNA to get into the cloning samples and BOOM! Instant flood Darleks.

lol, wrong flood.

Actually, it's the correct flood. The story of the Ark and to flood is just what's left of the story of the forerunners defeating the flood (with the Ark!) passed down over the generations.

Mythbusters did this. Out of your items, make the longest "rope" you can. Give the egg some protection, and lower it to just off the ground, with you holding the "rope" at 9 feet. then drop it. :3

Re: Television >>> Computer

what if the device was the same as i described it, except instead of the output going through the card slot, you had to plug it into a scart or something.
So it would take up very little room, and get all its power from the tv.

you could buy a raiser for the graphics card (you can get ones with cables, look quite useful)
Then you can mount the graphics card sideways or at an angle to save space.

Re: Television >>> Computer

from my understanding they normally take input from an aerial, decode it, and output it to the tv, with the tv controlling volume and supplying power. So, you simply replace the aerial and decoder with a simple android / linux device, similar to a smart phone. This then runs off the power provided, ...

Re: Television >>> Computer

If a chip was used similar to those used in smart phones, would it require much cooling? And all remote stuff would be done by the TV, for example, the output for video and sound would be given out as if it were a TV channel, if you get what I mean, so no TV updates would be needed.

Television >>> Computer

I had an idea today after reading that android was being ported to set-top boxes. Many new-ish tv's have little slots for "set-top" cards. Could, theoretically, a device be built onto one of these cards, using say an atom possessor, which would turn any tv into an instantly ready computer/...

I really want to get the speakers working, and they connect via actual wires, not connectors.

I hope this belongs here... Anyway, i have this stereo...type...thing. I don't know if you'd call it that, more of a hi-fi. But anyway, it wasn't new when i had it. I got it off my grandfather who got it out of a house he owns and was renting out. The people just left and left loads of stuff behind....
