When you pull the trigger, you are shooting someone on purpose. Dont aim a gun at someone if you dont want to shoot them. This is akin to saying if people just wouldn't drive dangerously we wouldn't need airbags, the entire point of safety mechanisms is to prevent an accident from happening on that...
