Dreading it just as much as you. Less than a couple of hours to go. Hardly ever do I get to watch a game this early over here.

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

He was right under the ball... well on the line :/ I'm talking about the first one here, not the second. EDIT: Oh crap wait, I was thinking of a different time in the match where he was under the ball when it went over the crossbar. Garm, you're right about the chip off the crossbar shot... sorry, I...

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

No, it doesn't necessarily generally lead a team to have that many shots on target because normally taking possession from the attacking team is also instrumental in winning a game. Chelsea did try that but this was Barca. The toughest team that you can go up against. And this was the only way to be...

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

No I was saying that them having more shots on target was a result of them having more possession. Also, they did hit the ball hard a lot of the time but it still didn't go in because, defense.

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

Most of the EPL (and I) disagree with you. Goal directed, yes. But hogging the ball and retaining possession alone doesn't always win you games. Chances to score aren't successful all the time if the opponent's defense is solid. If the opponent manages to score using the chances (which may well be f...

I tried learning how to sew :P It... didn't go very well. I guess I'm just going to have to keep buying huge sizes and alter them. Tailors are hard to find near where I live but I'll try.

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

They had six and we defended all. Even if the two shots that hit the crossbar and the sidepost would have been further into the net, Cech had it covered for the first and Ashley Cole for the second. Them having more shots on target is an extension of them having more possession which is why I also t...

Re: [SAFESPACE] Woman Thread - All Things Women. Period.

While we're on the subject of clothing, can anyone suggest some types of dresses/tops that I can get that will conceal my huge, bulging belly? I have a disproportionate body and my tummy is the only place where a size M isn't a perfect fit. If I get an L or an XL, everywhere else is a really loose c...

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

Um, I did say Barca are the current best in the world. I have a problem with calling them the better team in reference to one game as a stand out. Also, yes my point as well is that all teams commit fouls. Thank you. Deliberate cheating is what I'd call two consecutive handballs and acting hit to ha...

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

Yes, Barcelona will always have played the "better football" even after it is agreed upon that diving without even having contact is a crap thing to do. Somehow, when Chelsea win Barca are always the better team. If Barca win a game where the opponents are denied penalties because of TWO c...

Yes certain fouls can be nastier. Like the one Dani Alves made last year. Also, it is true. Don't know if you watched the game but that actually happened.

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

Yeah except it wasn't "just" shirt pulling. He necked him, pulled his shirt and THEN CLAIMED THAT DROGBA DIVED. That's disgraceful. It wasn't accidental at all. Also, I never said they weren't good. I am saying we were better because we understood how to play that game, given our situation...

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

CP: You repeatedly telling a rival club's fan what they should and shouldn't say and how they're being "arrogant" for pointing out obvious flaws in a game? That. Dream: Oh please. You speak as though Mascherano did nothing disgraceful. Him pushing Drogba, tugging his shirt and very blatant...

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

They play the passing game. That's been their style of play since forever. We don't. All stats will obviously tip in their favour - especially possession. That doesn't make them the better team. They attacked, yes, and we didn't lie low either. We had no illusions of grandeur about how this game was...

Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

They were destroyed!! Barca played well but it wasn't enough and it wasn't good enough. Anyone who has been watching Chelsea this season will tell you just how much their defense was up today. Re: Actual (Association) Football Talk.

What? They got past your defence and Cech twice. Sorry but Barca weren't the better team. Our defense was spot on and I think we scored at the right chance. We were tactful. My feet are too tiny and normally I never find a pair of shoes that I actually love but I did today. Ah the joy! Guess I'll be going to Hush Puppies more often. Sadly they don't have much variety in design but worth looking at henceforth.
