Re: People's mate preferences are racist. Do we care?

MrGee, I hope that wasn't intended at me. I wasn't comparing the two. I was just illustrating what you said... "Racism in business is not important but relationships are the exact opposite".

Re: Best and worst vocalist you have ever come across

Naw, Meatloaf can be a bad singer sometimes. The very first song I ever heard of him (I don't even remember which it is because I didn't bother to find out) was awful. I was surprised to know that Meatloaf was singing because I always heard good things about him. Took a lot of coaxing for me to list...

Re: My Mom is AWESOME

My maa was born in a small town in India. She grew up speaking this language you guys might not have heard of (Malayalam). She has 6 siblings. She's the youngest. Her father died when she was in 3rd grade. She's the only one to have gone to a college from that entire family. She has a degree in econ...

it seems to be an "all sexualities and sexual expressions that deviate from my personal standard must be more or less the same", or an "only perverts and sex maniacs would be that way" attitude, I guess?) Yep, that's what I thought too. Thanks :) Its just this horrid anxiety tha...

@Enuja - Thanks, but she will kill me if I approach a help group :) Sexual problems huh? Re: [SAFESPACE] LGBTIQQ Thread - Queer Support!

This thread makes me feel awesome. I have never been able to say I'm bi without invoking responses like "whore", "slut" or "bitch" from anyone, even over the internet. ESPECIALLY over the internet, actually. I guess I've been at the wrong places. People throw around sen...

Re: [SAFESPACE] Woman Thread - #sharkweek on irc.foonetic.net

I am too shocked for words right now. My friend keeps complaining that her boyfriend abuses her constantly and that she hates it. Then in the next couple of hours, everything is fine and dandy. Until... it happens again. And the cycle goes on. I tried telling her that she does not have to put up wit...

Best and worst vocalist you have ever come across

Vocalists can either make or break a band's position in the industry. Some of them just.shouldn't.sing. Best vox - Bruce Dickinson from Iron Maiden. This guy has never ceased to amaze me with his pitch range and power and stage presence. When I went to see Maiden live, I couldn't take my eyes off of...

Esperite, if that incident made you lose faith in humanity, I wonder what impacts bigger acts of ludicrousness by humans will have on your mind. The internet is awesome that way. Re: People's mate preferences are racist. Do we care?

*Mate* preferences. I don't care. I'm Indian and if you deny me a job solely because you hate my race and feel that it is inferior to yours, despite me having the necessary qualifications - yea. That's racist. BUT if you're just not attracted to women with brown skin and you don't want to sleep with...

Wow... I saw some movies on this list that I thought were incredible. It's sad. Anyway, I can't believe nobody has mentioned "Epic movie". There was NOTHING epic about it. There was no humor and if there was, it was lost on me. Somebody tell Friedberg and Selzer that they're NOT funny. Mak...

Clapton's version on "I shot the sheriff". Call me a nut if you will... I have to give it to Bob Marley... his version has more soul but Clapton's version is more interesting... at least to me.

Crosby, Stills and Nash. I don't know if they're obscure enough for you but I love this band. Listen to Wooden Ships by them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0rG2ME4sAc
