Re: Path of Exile - Borrow from ALL the games!

HC is so exciting, though. You get to a boss knowing that with one fuckup your character is gone and dead forever and it really gets the ol' heart pumping. Plus you get to feel like a badass because your character has never died, much like a real hero!

Re: In other news... (humorous news items, etc)

In C based languages at least it isn't superfluous because leaving out the braces means the conditional only applies to the immediately following executable line. That said, I hate leaving the braces out and don't think you should be allowed to do that. If that option didn't exist then I'm pretty su...

Re: Path of Exile - Borrow from ALL the games!

I just got back into it a week or so ago, and also got a friend of mine to start playing. She's not much of a gamer, at least not with meta-game heavy games like this, so watching her play is amusing. She dies to Hillock and her passive tree is downright adorable. She's having fun, though, which is ...

To be clear, he didn't just "decide", but rather it was a fatwa. Basically, the guidance from Muslim religious leaders said basing the length of your day around the time zone form which he launched. Islam: a lot less rigid than people give it credit for.

It's interesting how that list of downsides with no upside really boil down to "I'm used to reading it a different way". Excepting the wasting white space part, I guess. White space is a valuable and very limited resource.

We can already produce more food than the whole world can eat, so I doubt it. The only issue is cost. Not using those pesticides makes for a non-trivial increase in price.

They're really interesting to read about, just not fun to participate in.

Or so I'm told, the largest battle I've ever been in had about 100 on each side. But it WOULD be nice if large fleet fights weren't just "target primary, shoot until dead, target next primary".

Archaeology/salvage and hacking are now the same thing, if memory serves. Different loot type, same minigame. You just point an analyzer at it instead of a codebreaker. The Salvager high slot mod is now exclusively for salvaging wrecks, you don't use it when running sites.

And since we're proving our points with tropes, let's remember that while Robocop is the one a...

In Spanish the United States is "Los Estados Unidos" or "EE. UU." and a person from the EE. UU. is an "Estadounidense". It's a pity no properly analogous word exists in English.
